Functional Description
The Termination Base Unit (TBU810) is a passive base unit used to house the modules. It contains the power
and field /O terminals, Profibus communication connectors, serial interface ports, redundant communication
ports, and relay output ports.
In a redundant configuration two TBU810's are mounted side by side and connected together. This
arrangement provides the communication path for the pair of redundant modules.
The TBU810 can be mounted on a standard DlN rail. It has a mechanical latch that locks the TBU810 to the
DlN rail. The latch can be released with a screwdriver.
The TBU810 has two mechanical locking devices that lock the modules in place.
